I started the first book of this series a long time ago, so I didn't really remember what happened. However, the second book does a good job of explaining what happened anyway. I really liked this book in the way that it was written. "Stake That" is written in the form of a blog post or diary entry, and I liked it better because I was better able to understand how the character is like based on the language and emotions. This book was also different from most vampire books, because while most of them are serious, this book is pretty funny. For this reason, I could relate better to this book. The main character, Rayne, has a sense of humor and can almost be described as immature, which makes her more real. Her situation is different than most other vampires in vampire books, which makes her story even more interesting. I would recommend this book to any teen or preteen, especially those who like to read fantasy.
