Crutcher provides an honest and engaging sports and humor novel for teens. His characters come alive and experience legitimate problems of life. May not be for young audiences due to some teenage hormone moments. But, Crutcher's novel is brilliant in capturing the teenage voice as well as important teenage issues. It is blunt and honest as well as hilarious! Look through the eyes of a teen as he deals with honesty, prejudice, death and sex in Crutcher's highly packed novel.
