Prom is a really good book. I think it's one of the best books I’ve ever read. This book is for people who like reading about the life of teenagers and their drama. Instead of focusing on prom, Ashley is trying to get through her senior year at Carceras High School. She juggles work, family, a boyfriend, and friendships in addition to schoolwork and never-ending detentions. It's not easy. Work involves dressing up in a rat costume and serving pizza to screaming kids at the EZ-CHEEZ-E restaurant. Ashley's boyfriend, TJ, has a habit of mysteriously disappearing. And her family is made up of three rowdy, younger brothers, a father who's always involved with home projects that are never completed, and a mother who always seems to be pregnant! Ashley is a girl who has lot's of friends that are obsessed with prom. A teacher stole the money for the prom now Ashley is going to have to help her friend with the Prom arrangements and she has to help her to keep everything at a low budget. Through her efforts for helping her best friend she starts looking at things differently. Ashley's best friend has an accident she leaves Ashley has to be the head of the Prom committee. Ashley is able to make the Prom happen but she has too many detentions and the principal doesn't want her to go to the Prom. Would Ashley go to the Prom or not???
