I thought The Whipping Boy by Sid Fleischman was an alright book. I would recommend it to all ages. Prince brat is a stuck up, prideful boy. He treated others horribly and had an intelligent orphan boy named jemmy take the whipping for his wrongs.
One day they decide to run away together, but while adventuring farther and farther away from the castle two men kidnap them. Throughout the whole book they encounter many things as they try to escape. From dancing bears to a potato man to rats. During this journey Prince brat changed his way and was completely humbled which i thought was cool They started off enemies and came together."And he became suddenly awake of the price's hand clasped in his own".
One thing i didn't like about it was the speech. It was unusual and sometimes hard to understand. Which was annoying. But overall i am glad i read it and was a journey of imagination.
