Breathe tells the, at times heart wrenching, story of a high school student's near-death accident in a neighbor's swimming pool and his survival as a paraplegic. The controversial subject of the right-to-die is the main theme, and while I don't agree with the author's bent towards legalizing assisted suicide, I do appreciate the chance to see the issue from the inside out and from a different perspective than my own.

Leslie I have not read the book, but I must. I knew Brian Baco after his accident and I am disappointed that I was unaware of his ending to his life. I will read this book! Brian became a wonderful friend to me after his accident. It was very difficult to go to his home for a visit because of not being friends with him prior to his accident then not knowing what to say! I had the strong leaning that I was to visit him and know him. It proved to be a memorable experience for me and my sister. I do not know what else to say, but I hope that Brian's spirit lives on in Heaven!
