Another read late into the night. I had to finish this book so I guess I did love the story.
Jacques, who we first meet in Dark Prince, is Mikhail Dubrinsky’s brother and he was tortured by a vampire and buried alive. Slowly going insane after a few years he connects telepathically with his life mate. Shea, a doctor starts having nightmares about Jacques and feels drawn to travel to the Carpathian mountains where she discovers him and begins healing him.
She doesn’t know that she is part Carpathian part human and is turned into a full Carpathian by Jacques.
We meet some of the characters from the first book… Mikhail Dubrinsky, Raven and Gregori who is the greatest healer of the Carpathian race.
Shea and Jacque’s story is emotional, painful and dark and I was really happy when both realized their love for each other
