A very readable true story about women trying to make-do and then triumphing during the Taliban reign in Afghanistan. Kamila Sidiqui has an interesting story and I am grateful that Gayle Lemmon told it so well. The author has long been writing about women entrepreneurs in conflict and post-conflict places.
In full disclosure, I have a soft spot for stories about five sisters. This is an important story of our time.
