it was amazing

This program is spot on for my needs. I used it last year to train for a marathon and even though the three key runs per week were tough, I felt it really improved my fitness more than just running lots of "easy to moderate" miles would have. The addition of cross-training helped improve my endurance (which is where I fall short normally). I have recently fallen back into the habit of running whatever I feel like, so I downloaded the book and am following it for a half in December where I hope to PR.

No, it is more like a training plan. I tried that chi running and can't figure out how to alter my form. I know two people who swear by it though.
