really liked it

This magical thriller by Eoin Colfer is a good read for anyone looking for an adventure. Artemis the 14 year old genius is huning demons, but he has a little of competiton, and demons aren't always availible they only appear at certain times.

Artemis Fowl is a 14 year old "evil" genius. He has some "special" friends. Not only does he have a giant man for a body guard, but he has fairys for friends. Artemis is also hunting demons. After a interaction with a demon in Spain, Artemis goes to an Operah were he predicts a demon will appear next. At the Operah Artemis noticed a girl his age who appears to have the same interest. Instead of Artemis getting the demon, the other girl does. Artemis has his fairy friends get some information on the girl. Artemis tries to overthrow the girls manner and take over the demon but his plot is foiled. However another attempt works and they get the demon. One of the girls workers then goes crazy and over throws the girl and her manner. The crazy man then tries to negotiate with Artemis. Artemis "agrees" for a trade, the girl for the demon, but then does some trickery and gets both. The demon then finds a statue that has beings that look like him. The demon discovers he is a Warlock and turns the statue back into warlock, but only one survives. The two warlocks and Artemis then go to the warlocks strange planet to over throw the crazy leader. When Artemis comes home it is a comple of years later but he is still 14. He then finds out he has twin brothers.

I really liked this book because it is full of action. It is fantasy, so it is really fun. The theme of this book is probably "Don't mess with magic, or it could affect your life forever."

I would suggest this book to anyone, though adults probably wouldn't like this book because it is more make believe. This book is similar to most magic books, but it is different because there is the earth and an alternate planet.

Overall this book was very good, and I would suggest it to anyone.
