The was one of the original novels that Coben wrote twenty years ago when he was just beginning. He has come a long way and this book still shows what a great writer he is. The story revolves around a search for the cure of the AIDS virus, murders of those who were supposedly "cured," and trying to find who the bad guys are. Like Harlan says in the intro, if you've never read one of my books, don't let this one be the first! He's stretching the truth a bit. Yes, his later books are better, but you have to start somewhere.
