A serious "wow" on this one. Throw out any preconceived notions about what you might THINK this book is about. It takes the YA genre down a dark and gothic path lined with birch trees that whisper in the night breeze and a young girl's journey from a dangerous urban life to what seems like the path to everything she's dreamed of. There's a reason people always say "if it seems too good to be true, it probably is." And Jane Williams is about to find out all about it. The first book, adult or YA, that's kept me up past my bedtime in quite a while, and a story I simply didn't want to end.
