I haven't read romance since I was a teen. I'm thirty now and I had hoped they were better than they were fifteen years ago. I'm either reading the wrong books or most romance novels are awful. I may continue reading romance because of the fact its so far removed from real life.

I didn't care for this book. The descriptions were good, but the plot was thin and the characters few (unless that is a standard for romance novels) but what I really didn't like was the main two characters saying one thing and one page later saying the exact opposite. Like Christos saying in one paragraph he married Alysia because of revenge to her father and one page later in the same conversation say he didn't marry her for revenge to her father.
