Love the character of Fingal Flaterie O'Reilly. Love Ballybucklebo and love the wonderful stories of an Irish Country Doctor.

This was the sixth book in the series and focused more on Dr. O'Reilly's past and his days as a student doctor in Dublin. It was extremely enjoyable to learn how Fingal became the doctor/town leader that he is today. Also fun to see how he met Kitty and some of the other characters that have popped up in the past 5 books.

The only disappointment is that we still haven't found out how he came to marry Deirdre instead of Kitty and what that relationship was like. Would also have liked to know more about his friendship with Tom Laverty, his assistant Barry's father. It would have been interesting to also know how he came to Ballybucklebo and how he first met Kinky, his housekeeper.

Oh well, I guess there are enough questions and material that the author could definitely write another book. Can't wait.
