** spoiler alert ** This book is a revealing expose on the Obama administration. In the book's telling, Larry Summers and Rahm Emanuel come out looking like the bad guys - Summers in controlling flow of information to Obama and Rahm in failing to manage the big personalities present in Obama's advisors. Yet Obama may be the person who ultimately bears the blame in that he failed to take charge and make those difficult decisions that the American people elected him to make.

Reading this book will make you wonder what if - what if Obama picked Pete Rouse for chief of staff, what if Tom Daschle was able to come on staff, and what if Paul Vocker, instead of Summers, ran the economic discussion in the White House. And for some Democrats, what if Hillary Clinton won the primary.
