Abby Cooper, Private Eye, by Victoria Laurie,a-minus, Narrated by Elizabeth Michaels, Produced by Audible Inc. downloaded from audible.com.

This is the first book in the series. Abby Cooper has a thriving business as a “psychic intuitive”. She can get flashes from people and tell them things they need to know immediately. She has a blind date set up through the internet. During the date, she tells her date things about himself. She also blurts out that she was watching television during a newscast showing that a little boy had been snatched at the mall. She believed from images she saw in her head that the mother was play-acting and that the kidnapping was a hoax, also that the child was already dead. The next morning she wakes up with the police at her door. Turns out her blind date is a police detective. And therein begins a relationship where Dutch doesn’t want to believe she can find things out through her guides, and she distrusts police. But then clues she gave the police helped them find the killer of the little boy and arrest the mother as well. Then a client she had done a reading for was killed. As she and the police, now in a tentative way working together, investigate this murder, Abby’s life is in great danger. This is a good book with interesting characters, good narrator, and with a good enough protagonist to carry a series.
