Ugh! A major disappointment and snoozefest! Never thought it would be possible to make the Romanovs boring, but alas... Happy to move on to something else. Boo.

Ugh, it's sooooo effing boring!! I don't know how the author manages to make a book about an affair with Tsar Nicholas II sound so dry, but I'm wishing I had skipped this book and read the phone book or something instead. Gah! So disappointing!
grrr, okay, i'll rather give it a skip. rather leave it and read something more exciting - or are you going to push through?
Haven't decided yet, but I'm definitely leaning toward abandoning it. Life is too short for bad books, right?

i actually said to my husband this morning that i'm going to start doing something about this. i'm going to go to a bookshop and sit there and read the first few pages before i read a book ... to make sure it's working for me ... :)
