it was amazing
Read in January, 2011

I went into this not sure what to expect, I loved Half-Blood but I was a bit daunted by the idea of aliens and romance and book bloggers; not sure how it would all fit together, and it's rare I really get into 2 series by the same author.

I wound up hanging on every word and wanting more, and now I'm wishing I'd stretched it out a bit instead of devouring it in one sitting. She has a knack for making the most outrageously abrasive characters so completely loveable you can't decide whether you want to punch them or kiss them, or both, and Daemon takes the cake. Like Half-Blood it's the perfect mix of sarcasm, sweet, and holy-crap-what's-going-to-happen-next, and Obsidian kind of surprised me by being one of my favorite books of the year.

And now the wait for Book 2 begins =(
