Though I read this solely in support of my sister, who was cast in the play, I had always been curious to read one of the infamous adventures of Sherlock Holmes. Well, if my intent was to get to know Sherlock, this may not have been the best first choice. Though nonetheless cunning, he was absent from a great deal of the story, which centered on giving Watson a go at detective deduction. But maybe that's fitting~ it was a mystery novel in which the main hero remained....mysterious! Well I had a nice time reading, though many years back.....hm. I don't remember much of the book, but I'm happy to say that my sister delivered a stellar performance :).
