When I first discovered the Dresden files I was able to keep reading for quite a few volumes. For this volume I had to wait with the rest of the poor fans. The last one ended in a great cliffhanger and kept me waiting for a long while.

When the book finaly arrived I dropped everything I was reading and started immidiately. Was well rewarded while mr. Butcher did give us his recognisable world of Harry Dresden he clearly enjoyed it playing with the formula. Instead of the powerfull magician we return to the beginning where his main character has a lot to learn and is shown that while his teaching were not always that great, another lesson he learns here, as a student he is even worse.

But in the end you get to enjoy Harry's (mis)adventures while he finds out how far the influence he has had on his surrounding which are more than he ever imagened or dared to dream.

And now we'll be waiting for 2013 for the next installment.
