Won this on GoodReads first reads ,thank you! This is a very emotionally charged, moving story. Fawzia Koofi is an amazing, strong and kind woman who has experienced more than many people in other parts of the world could imagine and I love the letters to her daughters interspersed throughout. This is such a touching story and it really helps to remind me to keep things in perspective. It is dignified while keeping things matter-of-factly.
