So when I first read the book, I got a big shock. I mean, all of a sudden, 6 years passed since the previous book. It was a little confusing at the beginning! Heh, but after I got past my initial shock, I realised that now Darren should have a mind of a 18-19 year old guy, because in total, 8 years passed! But he was still kind of childish, and certainly not a mind of a 18-19 year old guy. Sure, he was more mature, but still like a 13-14 guy.. But perhaps I was wrong and his mind ages as slowly as his body! It doesn't make sense though.. But well, I don't care! He's only like 14 in terms of body age anw, if anyone was wondering!

SO I felt that this book was more of a filler kind of thing. I mean, not much action did happen, apart from the challenge on the bars that Darren did. Other than that, it was just mainly an introduction to the vampire clan. Somehow, the book was still enjoyable though!
