The Iron Heel is an interesting read. Written in 1907, much of what London writes about the rise of Capitalistic powers in this country and their influence over the world market, the US Government, and overall separation of that haves and the have-nots. Written as a journal, of the wife of a leader of the revolution, it provides an interesting look at Corporations control of the courts and the use of tying up cases in long litigation and tailor-made laws to bind the hands of those with less power and influence than they. It is a realistic look at how easily it could be for mega corporations and trusts to control the future and outcome of a nation.
