Warren Zevon's former wife and lifelong friend has interviewed I think 86 of Mr. Zevon's friends, family and associates in the music business (and has contributed her own stories)and has skillfully woven these stories into a compelling biography of her famously exuberant husband. Ms. Zevon demonstrates that she is an artist in her own right with this work describing the life and times of the excitable boy, whose bleak childhood might provide a place to begin to understand some of his later eccentricities. This is a must-read for fans and a rewarding story for fans of the music, the era, or anyone just looking for a well-wrought biography. Highly recommended!
