    <body><![CDATA[Touching at times, but a bit too clever.  If I'd read this in college, it might have blown me away.  Old man that I am now, I'm not so impressed with Eggers' desperately self-consciousness ramblings.  There's a beautiful story in there, but you have to wade through a lot of unnecessary posing to find it.   ]]></body>
