it was amazing
bookshelves: history

This is a focused view of a revolt, little known to Americans, and the tragic confluence of ineptitude on the part of both the British and the Indians.

The narrative is compelling and provides a good perspective into the motivations and circumstances of all of the key players. I plowed through this in a matter of days and now I think I know a little bit about a tiny corner of the vast tableau of Indian history.
