I haven'e read MB before and I was pleasantly surprised. She has a style that is reminiscent of Julia Quinn and Eloisa James. The title refers to the last part of the book and is more of a teaser than telling of the whole story. Story was fun and well developed. Two story lines that cross and expand--Edward, lord Heyward doesn't believe in romantic love, Lady Angeline Dudley is 19 and is on the cusp of her coming out and does believe in love. Before Edward even knows who Angeline is he proves his worth as a gentleman, rescuing her from a compromising position. Edward doesn't give it another thought and plans to marry his childhood friend Eunice. Angeline is hopelessly in love and happen stance keeps throwing her and Edward together. I was just going to skim this book as it was due back to the library but once I started reading I was captivated. Really good read.
