Read from February 28 to March 11, 2012

I first heard of Adriana Trigiani when I was watching Good Morning in America and she was promoting Viola In Reel Life (Book 1). I thought it was a great idea to have the main character into film and filming her life at boarding school. Several months later, when I was shopping at Barnes & Nobles I remembered the book. But they were out and I was not in the mood for waiting. Some time later, I finally broke down and ordered it from Amazon. The first book was cute and a nice light read that gave a great overview of Viola in boarding school.
So when I ran across this book at Border's, I had to get it!
Book 2 is all about Viola's summer back home in New York. She misses her friends from school but she is so glad to be home with her family and friends. Viola has had her first boyfriend and her first breakup and comes home a little wiser. Adriana writes a good clean story. There are no love triangles, just high school crushes. Viola and her parents have a great relationship full of communication and so do her friends. Except for one but the right thing always prevails. Grand, Viola's grandmother is a Broadway actress and brings a glamorous prospective to her situations. It is a really cute story with one or two small kisses.
