The victims in Rule's stories are always the most beautiful, the most special, and the most promising individuals on the planet. Perhaps that is just the way that Rule frames it. I have to say that I thought this book was written too soon. She waited for the Green River Killer to be caught and sentenced before she told that story. I must admit I found this book to be unsatisfying because there was no real resolution. Just a series of "what-if" scenarios when Rule has already thrown her considerable influence behind the scenario that she believes.
