I kept wondering what was happening with half of the characters in this book until I got to the end and read the note from George R.R. Martin saying that the 2nd half of the book and the story of the rest of the characters would be continued in Dance with Dragons. Lucky for me I had that one ready and waiting in the wing. So on to the last installment now. I hope he hurries up with The Winds of Winter & A Dream of Spring, I want to know how he could possibly bring this epic tale to a close!

Great book, I highly recommend this series. Lots of twists and turns and as always, Martin has no qualms with killing off or brutally maiming your favorite characters.
