Apocalypse (Star Wars: Fate of the Jedi, #9)
by Troy Denning

A good ending to the Fate of the Jedi saga. I'm not sure whether to be disappointed that it didn't set things up directly for the "Legacy of the Force" comic series, or excited that more books will be added for the intervening time period.

Having not watched any of "The Clone Wars" animated series, I was unaware of some of the important backstory later in the novel. However, it was explained well within the novel and I now feel somewhat motivated to start watching the more recent episodes (which presumably was the entire point). I do like that they're finally connecting the animated series into the novels, since it helps sustain the wonderful feeling that Star Wars cannon is all consistent and interconnected.
