This book is in the time of WW2 where the Germans are bombing London. And for Nicks safety his mother sends him out to live with his father out in the Burmese jungle with him on his plantation. I like this book because it is in war time and I like those kind of books that have to do with history but aren't exactly true. My favorite quote from the book is where the Japanese Colonel says "You will be going with them, Mr.Freestone. It is only fitting that you stay with the men who are loyal to you". I think it is a good quote because the Colonel shows that he can be somewhat nice to MR.Freestone because he could have easily killed Nick and his father. But he had restrained himself because he too has a son and feels for Mr.Freestone when it comes to that subject. So all and all I liked this book it is really neat and it has really good cliffhangers that keep you on your toes.

Amy I like historical fiction, too. I'm going to add this one to my to-read list. Thanks for the recommendation.
