it was amazing

Of these two epics, arg/machine's favourite is The Odyssey, full - as it is - with superhuman beings with jaw-dropping powers, fantastic beasts, black magic, mad villains and freaky monsters. And then there's our hero Odysseus who must outwit/battle/kill them all and then get home to save his beautiful wife from overzealous suitors. Yes, this is one of the earliest FX-laden, high-action adventure conceived. Free electronic copies - the epics are in the public domain now - are available here.
