** spoiler alert ** This story seemed a bit shoe horned in when I was reading the Vorkosigan saga in order. That of course is because this book was written after the next few stories, which is fine but it was noticeable. Don't get me wrong, I will take as many Miles stories as I can and I did enjoy this one but it is my least favorite for that reason.

The story is about Miles and Ivan on a diplomatic mission to Cetaganda. Hijinks of course, ensue. To me, the most interesting part was getting the behind the scenes of the Cetagandan empire. Haut, Ghem, Ba and Star Creche had my head spinning for a while but eventually it became. . . sort of clear what the story was. I would be very interested to read a history of how the Cetagandans came to be in the system they currently inhabit.

Not the best story compared to the rest of this series, but definitely still enjoyable. On to the next book!
