This is the first book in a trilogy written by the author. From what I can see in the storyline it's sort of a precursor to the Virgin River series that the author writes. We are introduced to a peaceful valley town and a young woman doctor who has taken over her father's practice. Her father still sees patients but she is looking for a partner as the practice is expanding. We are introduced to the colorful characters who belong to the town; as well as the new doctor coming into the practice. We also meet an undercover cop who becomes involved with our lovely young doctor. The story continues to evolve resolving some personal interactions while leaving others to be continued in the rest of the series.
