Well written and fun read about Wes- a 17 year old student at the Dalton School in NYC. The novel takes place in one day (with a few flashbacks). Wes cares for his dying mother and young sister, looses his virginity, works on a paper based on War and Peace and cooks a dinner of sweetbreads at the request of his mom. I loved the setting and the writing, especially when he writes about food. I read in his credits that Browner is also a food writer.
