Read from October 16 to November 08, 2011

The best thing I've read in a long, long time. North Korea is a complete mystery to most Americans, a black hole on the map. But Adam Johnson renders the lives of his North Korean characters so vividly, in such rich detail, that this surreal, terrifying, Orwellian country comes bursting to life. Masterful, unforgettable, not to be missed. (Publication date: 1.10.2012)
