I thought the plot of the book was rather hasty and abrupt but really, really charming; not to forget sweet...really, really sweet. I definitely adored Miranda's witty and firm standing character. While for...Turner? I just thought he was the sort of guy who conclude things too fast. But its not entirely his fault due to his wife's act of infidelity. >.< Sigh...this made him not clear of his judgements and most importantly his feelings for Miranda. However. I almost swooned when he coaxed Miranda into marrying him...so suave... So when I was coming to the ending..I couldn't help but wanting a bit more of drama (though it was really sort of angsty and dramatic); but a girl could ask for more, can't she? ^^; After reading this book, I felt that the author wasn't Julia Quinn...because after reading several of her Bridgerton books...I expected her to write of something more serious and very, very sensible. But oh well...it certainly is a real and new approach, I must say?
