I love Kay Hooper's Bishop series because of all the psychic things in them, not to mention they are pretty scary with all the serial killers. However,while this one was good, and held my attention, it just didn't seem to be as "fleshed out" as her other ones to day. I did like the lack of too much romance but her characters seemed to be a bit "empty." I didn't feel like I got to know any of them really, and that they were sort of cardboard. But I do still plan to grab the next book after this one, as she left many things unresolved. If you haven't read any of Ms. Hooper's books in this series, I would suggest NOT starting with this one. Besides you will need to start from the first books so you won't be lost. I would recommend this book to fans though.
