Nice easy thriller book - based on the King Midas legend. Very nicely blends fact with fiction, and myth with truth. Lots of action, across Europe and the US, danger, two separate baddies, and some nice history lessons thrown in, as well as the real life and myths surrounding Midas. I hadn't known a lot of this. One thing I love about these types of thrillers - the good authors do their research, even driving at 150MPH on the autobahn to be able to describe how it feels (such sacrifices for art!), and give me a mini history lesson in myths and reality on subjects I don't know a lot about, esp. this one, since I started college as a classics scholar. Maybe he was junior year...
