it was amazing
bookshelves: my-favorite-books, great-books
Read from February 16 to 17, 2012

Let me start by saying the legend of Robin Hood is one of my absolute favs. So when I found out there was going to be a YA version, I couldn't wait to get my paws on a copy.

That being said, the book was as awesome as I was hoping it would be! I absolutely loved the author's unique take of this well-known tale. I couldn't put it down and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it right to the end. This was easily one of my top 3 favorite books read this year. In fact, I'm really hoping there will be a sequel or companion novel.

I hope this idea takes off and more authors write YA versions of the many incredibly fascinating stories throughout history.

“You are my whole heart, Scarlet. And this is breaking it.'

My heart cracked open and clear dropped out of me. My mouth opened, and I looked round me and stamped my foot. 'Does this look like a good time to tell me that, you damn stupid boy?' I meant to sound mean but my voice wobbled. 'Now?'

He gave a little smile. 'My foul-mouthed warrior.”
