I'm giving this book 3 stars only because it's organized by album and I love Tom Waits which caused me to go back and listen to several albums in their entirety. As other Good Reads reviewers have correctly pointed out, the interviews are mind numbingly redundant repeating his early life story, canned non-responses, praise for his wife yada yada. Don't read the book, listen to the music.
