Excellent. It explains what Berlin was like before the start of World War II through the eyes of the American Ambassador and his son and daughter. It provides an insight into why people -- in Germany and America were willing to believe that Hitler would eventually become a sane leader and not take the world into another war. Fascinating reading. I couldn't put this book down.
