Forever Princess by Meg Cabot

This book comforted me through high school. So, there's another girl out there who's really tall with bad hair, and sucks at algebra! I thought. Someone I can relate to!

Well, those were the only three things Mia and I had in common. As the series progressed, I found myself disgusted at this apparent 'feminist''s complete INABILITY to do ANYTHING on her own. Lily done right by her, yelling at her in Princess Mia. I agreed with everything she said. I was actually cheering out loud when Michael dumped her--about time he let the obsessively clingy girl go! And what does the 'feminist' do when he dumps her? First, she goes to bed for a few days and whines about everything and watches Judging Amy. (A footnote: Seriously? Judging Amy? Don't butcher a damn good TV show by putting it in the same context as this garbage.) And when her (awesome, by the way) cowboy therapist helps her out of the rut, she decides to go shopping. With Lana Weinberger. Who suddenly likes her. Where did THAT come from.
And also, she goes on the rebound. With JP. Who she KNOWS dated and possibly screwed her ex-best-friend. NICE.
And then Michael comes back and they have sex and the ending is happy. Oh yay! /sarcasm
I hate Mia, like Lilly, hate JP, like Michael, and I love Grandmere. So basically, I hated all the people who were SUPPOSED to be likeable. And vice versa.
Writing sucked, even for a teenager's diary.
The end.
