“The Stranger You Seek” by Amanda Kyle Williams, published by Bantam Books.

Category – Mystery/Thriller

Amanda Kyle Williams lives in Decatur, Georgia. “The Stranger You Seek” takes place in Atlanta and the surrounding area. This novel is to be the first in a series featuring Keye Street.

Keye is an ex-FBI profiler that due to the hardships of her job fell into alcohol addiction, and then fought his way out of it. She now runs a Private Investigation business that always seems to be teetering on failure.

Keye, at the request of Atlanta Police Department lieutenant Aaron Rauser, has been asked to help in a series of brutal murders that have the mark of a serial killer.

While helping the APD Keye must also attend to her own business and continues to serve subpoenas, chasing bail jumpers, and looking for a missing cow in Northern Georgia.

The case becomes very complicated when there seems to be no common thread to link the murders together, except for the brutality and method used in the killings.

The APD finally is confident that they have the murderer, only Keye has some reservations in that not everything seems to be adding up. Keye stumbles across some very key information and starts to put things together. She confronts her suspect only to find that she is unable to bring her to justice. She also finds out, almost at the cost of her own death, that someone else may be involved in these murders.

An excellent read for anyone who likes a good mystery, but will hit home for those in the Atlanta area, because Williams brings the Atlanta scene to her story in grand style. Williams is now working on her second book featuring Keye Street, and it is a good possibility that the murderer in “The Stranger You Seek” will reemerge in it.
