One of the most disturbing and intriguing characters I have come across in literature. At times, you find yourself indulging in his misanthropic take on life and humanity (which goes to such extremes as to become comedic), and at other times, revulsion at this vile example of man's flaws will cause you to want to put the book down and never return to it. Short, compelling and well worth the time.
