I rather enjoyed this novel. It gave a little different picture of the countess than other books I've read, which tend to show her as an unfeeling, crazed killer. I would suggest it to anyone who enjoys historical fiction, as that part was interesting as well, and of course, it does have it's roots in reality, which makes it even more interesting. I am left wondering, though, how much of it is truth?

Maria Wow, i want to read that so bad: there´s not much - factuaql or novel - about Elizabeth Bathory and she has intrigued me always. Let me know what you make of it.
