the name of this book is Borden Chantry. The author of this book is Louis L'Amour. there is 240 pages in this book. This is one of the most suspensful books i've ever had the pleasure of reading. the settign of this story is in the American Wild West.

The problem in this story is that Borden Chantry who is the main character is the sheriff of a small town and someone was murdered in cold blood and nobody knows who did it. Borden was only planning to be sheriff till he had enough money to buy cattle so he can become a rancher.

Except the plan of that went horribly wrong when a simple person was murdered and no body knew who did it. So Borden began searching for the killer before he murdered everyone in town. this book took me about a week to read. borden faced many challenges such as who to kill and who not to kill or how to find the killer.

The author is trying to communicate that in the old west you can never trust anyone and if your not careful you may be killed.

I would reccomend this book to anyone who likes suspense books and old western books.
