A collection of Lovecraft tales, includes many of his most famous. One of the things I enjoyed most about this collection is that there are many short stories that can be read without sequence, so a quick read then the book can be put down. One of the earliest writers of American horror, the imagination does most of the work (especially in the mountains of madness) which is something I have always enjoyed when reading. Excellent grasp of language. While the stories won't give anyone nightmares, they can give you a little shiver.
