River's Call caught me on page one. I love the heroine who has found her roots. I read the first book in the series River's Song but one doesn't need to have read it to follow and burrow deep into this warm, satifying tale of redemption--in spite of family curses or family grudges carried from one generation to another. Colorful characters, entrancing setting and a twisting yet natural plot carried me along. A lovely read.
