Ellen is a newly wed, married to her best friends older brother, who has the perfect life that she is happy with. Then she runs into an ex who never got a chance for complete closure. Then as her husband makes waves in their perfect life, wanting to move closer to his picture perfect family and have her give up her career and such. The book is about Ellen caught between the two things she wants, her husband or the ex who had potential and lost something with it ending.

I wanted to love this book, it had potential. But it just didn't reach what I felt it wanted to or was trying for. You know at the start of the book where you a just getting the surface of the characters and you know there is more to them, but you don't know it all yet, that is how I felt about the characters the whole time. I felt there was just something more that we were just about to find out or needed to know, but then we never found it out. The ending was kind of anticlimactic too. The other three books by this author are kind of a trilogy looking at the same situation from different perspectives and expanding on other areas that effected the other characters, so I hope that she does something like that with this one. I just wanted more from this book and feel like there was potential there and it just wasn't quite reached. I wouldn't write this writer off because of this book, I just hope her future books meet the potential that this one showed, but didn't quite reach.
